OK, let's get something on the calendar.
Dates:
I'm suggessting, Sep 24.25.26 or Oct 1.2,3. I don't think those conflict with Appleseed and I know that Knob Creek is the weekend of Oct 9th. I know that the weekend of Oct 1,2,3 is a big weekend of festivals in Louisville, but I don't know if that matters to any of us. So pick the date that's best, or pick either, and I'll start calling around on campsites.
Location
I've asked Hillbilly and Shawdow61 for some suggested locations. I'm going to look first for sites near Mammoth Cave along I65 as I think that will make it easist for the most people to come. Hillbilly has given me 3 Horse Camps that offer primitave and electric campsites so I'll look into them. I'll also check Mammoth Cave campgrounds. Also I'll go look at a few sites over the next few weekends. At Matt's direction we are going to keep this at a Public or Commercial campground and not setting up on private land.
Program
I'm going to propose a few classes in the morning and a few in the afternoon... so give me a list of what you would be interested in learning or teaching.
1. I'm interested in seeing a class on what First Aid supplies to stock in bulk. Between LJonsey2005 and DocDredd and Trailtreeisland we should have some good input.
2. I'm interested in a class of planning your spring garden. Maybe with a focus on Heirloom seeds and Seed Starting dates.
3. I'm interested in a class about Radio Communications. What to buy and how to approach it.
4. I'm interested in a class on using GPS's..... maybe a game of some kind with those would be fun... but I know NOTHING about them so don't look to me.
