We're actually working on one to pull behind one of our horses while we ride it. We've got out horses familiar with traffic while riding on the road, not that this will be a problem in a SHTF situation. I've got some serious leg problems due to a mining accident some years ago. So instead of biking, we're using our horses. The trailer system seems to be a great idea and gives us a way to carry many more supplies at one time. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out. The one we're looking at building is one to carry cargo only as we ride the horse. Kind of like the Indians did in the old days. Except the Indians didn't have the wheels. They dragged theirs behind the horse. I want to use wheels to make things easier and still be able to ride a narrow trail is needed. With this type of haulage system I hope to be able to haul much more weight.
