The Name

Postby rattfink » Sun Feb 07, 2010 7:35 pm

Figured this might be the best place for this although I'm not new. LOL:
As a few of you have wondered and asked, "Why the name "Rattfink?" Some of you might be familiar with the cartoon character from the 50's and 60's called Rat Fink. Basically he was a icon among hotrod car enthusiasts. Created by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth who was a well known custom car builder. As I am a hotrod/muscle car enthusiast I began collecting Rat Fink memorabilia several years ago. Long story short, when I needed a name for some chats/message boards it's what came to mind. So there you have it.

That's interesting. I came up with mine just because I couldn't think of anything else. :-)

I wondered if that is where the name came from as I'm old enough to remember that. So you have to come help me rebuild my 1972 Nova, that I've owned since 1977 (second owner). Since it doesn't run right now it is just acting as a barricade that I can push in front of the garage door if the Zombies attack. I would however like to drive it again, one last time, before TEOTWAWKI. ;)
